What is Body Sculpting?

Nonsurgical body sculpting is a procedure used to remove or reduce pockets of stubborn fat, tighten lax skin, reduce cellulite, and strengthen muscle. The most popular process is also known as nonsurgical fat reduction "Laser Lipo". However, this is just one of many nonsurgical body sculpting techniques available to help you shape and contour your body. Common areas patients address include:

Non-invasive Body Sculpting is highly-effective for most people. Some benefits/advantages of Nonsurgical Body Sculpting include:

  • It compliments your weight loss efforts and helps to show the results from your workout faster. Think of burning the candle from both ends.

  • There is no need for anesthesia, and no incisions so there are no scars.

  • It can boost your confidence.

  • It requires no downtime.

  • There are minimal to no side effects.

  • It yields gradual results so the treatment is discreet (some people want to remain discrete about their self-enhancements)

  • For most procedures, the results will last for as long as you maintain your ideal weight.

Despite being a reduced risk with no downtime, it isn’t right for everybody or every situation, which is why TCBB requires intake forms before treatment. We take your safety very seriously. It is always best for everyone involved to be able to make informed decisions. Thus why it’s important to ask questions.

Here are the answers to the most frequently asked questions about body sculpting.

1. How Much Does It Cost?
Like with any other procedure, the exact cost will vary from patient to patient. Body contouring is designed to mimic its big sister "traditional cosmetic surgery".  The factors that are considered for each customized treatment plan for both traditional and non-surgical body sculpting are: the bodies current condition + the body goal. This will determine

what technologies and techniques will be used and the number of treatments that will be required to achieve the desired result. Since no two people are the same at TCBB each treatment plan is customized to address individual  needs.

2.  Can Body Contouring compliment weight loss surgery?

It is no secrete that weight loss surgery produces quick results. Quick weight loss is not necessarily a bad thing. However quick weight loss can lead to sagging loose skin. Being over weight for a long period of time, and or being up in age increases the chances and severity of sagging skin and advanced stage cellulite. Unless the sagging skin is causing serious (medically documented health problems) it is likely that skin removal surgery would not be paid for by insurance resulting in an out of pocket expense for the end user.

Guess what? You can prevent quick weight loss loose skin.

There are many interventions, technologies, and techniques that can be applied at the same time the weight loss program is underway to encourage the dermis (skin) to shrink and encourage the body to produce collagen and elastin at an accelerated rate at the same time the body is shrinking. That makes the transformation outcome visible much sooner. Conversely working to tighten the skin and address random pockets of fat after the initial weight loss makes creating your own body goals more challenging and frustrating than it has to be. Additionally shaping and tightening as you are losing weight means you are less likely to overshoot your goal. Check out this article it talks about what is considered fast weight loss, and how much loss will trigger sagging lax skin. Note the things suggested to counteract the sagging skin. Hint hint look at the third suggestion.

3. How many treatments will I need?

You should also count on undergoing multiple treatments. Most patients require anywhere from 6-10 for the best results.

As far as how long it will take to see these results, that also varies. It depends on the treatment. Some treatments have a flash effect meaning you will see results straight away. While others such as skin tightening you’ll see some results 3-4 weeks after the treatment. The full extent of the results will be apparent roughly three months after your final treatment. These are just rough guidelines. You may begin to see results earlier (or later) than this. The one thing that will not fluctuate is the need for proper pre and aftercare.

4. Can I use body contouring to lose weight?

No! It'ss not designed for that. Body Contouring is not a short cut. However if you have weight to lose TCBB does practice highly affective weight and size reduction techniques. These combined with proper diet and exercise can accelerate weight loss efforts negating the need for weight loss surgery. Once you are within 15-25lbs from your ideal weight that is when you will transition from size reduction to body shaping and contouring.

5.  How Long Does a Treatment Appointment take & How Long for a Treatment Series?

Treatment appointments can take anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes to complete. The exact timing will depend on the area you’re treating as well as the technology used. The treatment series takes a fraction of the time the surgical counterpart takes to heal from. E.g. a traditional abdominoplasty surgery aka Tummy Tuck the full healing process can take from three months to a year. Whereas the average person would require an 8 - 12 series Non-Surgical Tummy Tuck package to get similar results. An 8 - 12 treatment series should be completed in as little as 4 - 6 weeks or at max 8 - 12 weeks.

So not only would the time frame be significantly reduced range of motion is never compromised and there is no down time. Instead of being weakened due to surgery and healing time many of our clients experience increased strength and the ability to engage in more intense workouts as they progress through their treatment series.

6. Do The Results Look Natural?
Absolutely! That is part of the allure of non-surgical shaping.  All of the procedures practiced at TCBB are non-invasive. The results you see are all-natural and 100% you. That also means that you need to be realistic about your results. Body contouring can help you bring out your ideal natural physique, but it won’t completely change your body.

7. Is It Painful?
Body contouring is non-invasive; as such, you avoid much of the discomfort associated with liposuction and other surgical procedures. At TCBB our processes are all completely non-invasive there is no need for the general anesthetic to minimize pain.

8 . Are There Any Risks?
One of the benefits of non-surgical procedures performed at TCBB is that the risk of complications is reduced. It’s very unlikely that you’ll experience anything following your procedure outside of improved results.

9. How do I know what procedure I need?

Picking a treatment based on what is popular, trending, or simply because it is part of a promotion is not advisable. Body Contouring is like any other procedure you need to schedule a consultation to make sure you are a candidate . During the consultation your Contour Specialist will asses your current physical state vs. your goals and determine what technologies and techniques you need. Next they will create a customized plan to help you achieve the shape you want to "Be your own body goals".

Please note TCBB will only perform services outlined during the consultation by the contour specialist. TCBB WILL NOT PROVIDE SERVICES OR TREATMENTS IF IT WILL MAKE THE GUESTS SITUATION WORSE. This includes purchases made via third party vendors. For example in a situation where a guests needs skin tightening a size or fat reduction procedure is NOT the solution and would only make loose or lax skin conditions worse.

In this example the size reduction service would be denied. While I want to help women feel confident and be their best; I am a certified Health & Wellness Coach, a Motivational Mindset Mentor and maintaining on my journey. My first priority is health and your well being. I would not execute a treatment knowing it will make an existing condition worse. If the guest made their purchase via a third party vendor they would be able to return to their source and cancel the voucher in exchange for another or pay the difference for the needed service.

10.  Can It Fix the ‘X’ Problem?

Body sculpting works well on many different body areas, including the neck/chin, arms, abdomen, thighs, and buttocks. The primary use is to remove stubborn fat. If you have questions about whether this is the right procedure for your problem, it’s best to schedule a consultation.

11. Is Body. Sculpting New?

NO! Selfcare has gotten more attention as of late but the concept is not new. Just as the concept of non-surgical weight loss and body shaping is not new. Both date back to the ancient Egyptians. Have a read "Ancient Egypt’s Most Indulgent Beauty Secrets". They didn't only reserve body wrapping for the dead. They wrapped themselves with various leaves and serums for beautification. They shaped our view of beauty. Check out this interesting perspective. Bringing it closer to our day. Check out this link showing women working out. Note how the caption says "working out on a slimming machine". It may be a new concept to some but it is an ancient old practice.

12. Can It Help Me Lose Weight?

While removing fat will result in you weighing less, body sculpting is not a weight loss procedure. It’s no substitute for a healthy lifestyle and to get the best results, you should already be at or near your ideal weight no more than 15-20 lbs. from your goal. If you exceed the threshold the treatment plan will include size reduction as part of the protocol in order to get to the phase of shaping and contouring.

13.  Do I need to make special preparations?

You absolutely do! Just like traditional procedures have pre and aftercare protocols so do body sculpting. The list of pre and aftercare instructions is part of the treatment. Think of it like a prescription. The instructions are specifically designed to supplement and enhance the treatment therefore it's not optional if you want results.  E.g. Drinking a certain amount of water, reframing from consuming alcohol & caffeine during the restricted period, or implementing the probiotic regime. Please take note you can get some amazing results but the outcome is heavily influenced by how well the aftercare (including compression, diet, and exercise) was executed.

14. What is Electric Muscle Stimulation, or EMS, and how is if different from exercise?
Electric Muscle Stimulation, or EMS uses electrical impulses to cause muscles to contract involuntarily, which helps your muscles become stronger. The involuntary contraction is beneficial to facilitate consistent movement or simulated exercise. However, for several reasons, EMS is more impactful than regular exercise, especially for those who are weak. When the muscle contracts naturally you are only able to engage approximately 30% of your muscle fibers (that is the average for a healthy adult). The remaining muscle a whopping 70% lay dormant and awaiting recruitment when the contracting fibers fatigue. With Electrical Muscle Stimulation resting muscle fibers is stimulated at the same time for a 97-100% muscle contraction to improve strength. This is a powerful option for those who are physically challenged or are very weak and have difficulty performing any normal anti-gravity exercises. EMS removes the risk of improper form which is typically the culprit of many sports injuries. Another reason that Electrical Muscle Stimulation works is the speed of motor unit activation. The simple explanation is, it takes approximately 10,000 repetitions for your brain to learn how to quickly send a message to your muscles via the quickest nerve pathways. Muscle stimulators can potentially provide you with the repeated contractions needed to accelerate this learning process. Although EMS can prompt weight loss in the whole body, research has shown that EMS can specifically target the abdominal area (a common problem area for most people). The research found that without modifying their diet or exercise, the EMS therapy was able to help candidates lose weight from their midsections. It also promotes weight loss by building muscle, which in turn helps to boost the metabolism and burn fat. Weight loss with EMS therapy is most effective when combined with a healthy, balanced diet which promotes the calorie deficit. EMS stimulates blood flow and increases the production of collagen. These factors can give skin a smoother appearance. EMS therapy can help to tone muscles and improve body definition more effectively than conventional training methods.

15. If this is non-invasive and "safe" why do I need to fill out the intake form and submit it 24 hours in advance?

Yes, it is true all the treatments administered at TCBB are non-invasive. However, there are conditions, medications, and vitamins that make these treatments a risk for some. I.e. steroid prescriptions e.g. Prednisone, Hormone replacement (HRT) and some bio-identical hormones, autoimmune disorders, heart conditions, and many more.  All first-time guests must submit a form there are no exceptions. It must be received 24 hours in advance of your appointment. That allows us time to ensure we have had a chance to review and research any possible contradictions before your service. Our first priority is improving your health it is our responsibility to ensure we know what technique and tools will work best for your individual needs.to use. It is your responsibility to answer all questions honestly. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
